About Us

The Lunch With Lynch Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted in the Wildwoods of Cape May County, New Jersey. At our core, we are about people helping people, leading with kindness, compassion, and a deep love for our community.

Our Story

The Lunch With Lynch Foundation was founded by John Lynch, a lifelong community advocate who has spent decades working with children, families, schools, and local organizations throughout Cape May County.
 

What started as something simple, reading to children, showing up for students, offering encouragement and a listening ear, grew into something much bigger. Along the way, John saw firsthand that many children and families were facing challenges far beyond the classroom: serious illness, financial hardship, loss, and uncertainty. Rather than looking away, the community leaned in.
 

The Foundation was created to be a bridge connecting caring people with children and families who needed hope, support, and reassurance that they were not alone. Over the years, countless volunteers, partners, and supporters have joined in that mission, turning small acts of kindness into life-changing moments.
 

What We Do 
Everything we do is centered on lifting others up and strengthening the community's we call home.

Supporting Children & Families in Need
We provide direct assistance to local children and families facing serious illness, medical challenges, financial hardship, or unexpected life events. Every dollar raised stays right here in Cape May County and helps neighbors who need it most.
 

Educational & Life-Enriching Experiences
We work closely with schools and educators to create meaningful experiences that inspire learning, confidence, and character — both inside and outside the classroom.
 

Community Events with a Purpose
Through signature fundraisers and events like FreeZa PoLooZa, toy drives, walk-runs, and seasonal gatherings, we bring people together to celebrate community while raising critical support for those in need.

Kindness & Youth Leadership
Programs like #ThumbsUp4Kindness encourage young people to lead with empathy, respect, and compassion, reminding them that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.

Community Partnerships
We proudly collaborate with schools, local businesses, faith-based groups, service organizations, and volunteers — because real change happens when a community works together.

Founder’s Note:
 

When I started what became the Lunch With Lynch Foundation, I never imagined it would grow into what it is today. I simply knew I wanted to show up for kids, to listen, to encourage them, and to remind them that they matter.

Over the years, I’ve met children and families facing challenges no one should have to face alone — serious illness, financial hardship, and moments that test faith and strength. What has always amazed me is how our community responds. Time and time again, people step up with open hearts, open hands, and an incredible willingness to help.

This Foundation exists because of that kindness. It exists because of volunteers, donors, teachers, parents, and neighbors who believe that love in action can truly change lives.
