The iPad Project
COVID-19 continues to spread, more individuals, communities,
and the elderly are feeling the impact in their daily lives!
Phase III - August - December
We are in the process of providing an iPad to a hospital or nursing home in all 50 States in honor of John's father.
Phase II - April through July
Honoring Hugh Lynch's memory with iPad's to local hospitals and nursing homes. We provided over 65 iPad's to all the Nursing homes in Cape May County, NJ along with iPad's to hospitals in & Nursing homes in NY, PA, NC, SC, GA, AL, MO and IL
Phase I - March
Cape Region Hospital asked for 5 - 10 iPad's. In two days we provided 20 iPad's to the hospital
Due to the generous donations from across the country for Operation Connection - the iPad Project, we are currently providing a minimum of one iPad that will be provided to a Hospital or Nursing Home in every State in our Union. The #PowerOfCommunity at it's best!

Men's Basketball Team
Coach Harrison along with Isaiah Cottrell, Jay Moore, Sen N'diaye and Taj Thweatt delivered two iPads to the residents of Sundale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, WV. Sundale was hit especially hard with COVID this past spring. The staff and residents enjoyed meeting the players and receiving new iPads to connect with their families.
We would like to give a HUGH shout-out to Taj Thweatt who is a freshman at WVU and has been an active volunteer of the Lunch With Lynch Foundation. Taj attended Wildwood Catholic High School in North Wildwood, NJ and was a role model to those young and old.
Taj, your community is proud of you. Go Mountaineer's!
The Lunch with Lynch Foundation supports the youth of our community. It's
fitting they are a part of Mr. Lynch's volunteer production & operations team.
Our goal was to collect and donate 10 iPad's to our local hospital, but we received over 60 and have delivered them to various hospitals and senior care centers in Cape May County, NJ & beyond.

John Lynch with his father Hugh, the Ambassador of the Lunch With Lynch Foundation. John's dad passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 from natural causes at his memory care center.
John was able to speak to his father via FaceTime to say his good byes.

The iPad Project in Memory of Hugh Lynch
Hugh David Lynch Sr, shy of 92 by 21 days, of Tucker, Georgia passed peacefully while receiving last rites by Monsignor Richard Lopez on Monday, April 13, 2020. He was born on May 2, 1928 in Mount Vernon, NY to Hugh George and Elizabeth Fitzgerald Lynch. A graduate of St. John’s Preparatory in Astoria, NY (where he was selected by his peers as Wittiest Senior) and GSU in Atlanta, Ga, he was also an Air Force veteran from the Korean Conflict and a lifelong employee of Bell South.
Mr. Lynch was an active volunteer at The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, where he served in many roles including sacristan, collections counter, and Meals on Wheels coordinator. As a member of the leadership team for the Center for Positive Aging, an executive on loan from Bell South for the United Way of Greater Atlanta, he was nationally recognized by Shepherd’s Centers of America for his volunteerism helping “frail older adults that struggle to remain living independently on small fixed incomes.” Additionally Hugh served as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 660, and as a District Deputy; president of the Bell South Pioneers; many support organizations for his children during their educational years such as PTA and Boy Scouts; and a dedicated volunteer tax counselor for senior citizens.
