ThumbsUp is an International Expression of Kindness
From Wildwood to Levice
Hello from Wildwood, New Jersey! USA
We are the 5th grade students from Glenwood Avenue Elementary School, and we are so excited to meet all of you,the 5th grade students at Zakladná Škola in Levice, Slovakia! 🌍
Even though we live across the ocean from each other, we believe kindness, curiosity, and friendship can connect us no matter how far apart we are. We can’t wait to learn about your school, your traditions, and what life is like in your country. We also look forward to sharing our experiences with you here in the United States!
Let’s discover what makes us different and what we have in common as we grow together through this amazing international friendship.
From all of us here at Glenwood Avenue School…
Dobrý deň, priatelia! (Hello, friends!)
With excitement,
Mr. Lynch & your new friends in Wildwood

Repetition, repetition, repetition is a great way to strengthen your vocabulary.
With the help of several middle and high school students attending a conference at the Wildwoods Convention Center, I practiced the word Slovakia. Though I clearly know that Slovenia and Slovakia are two completely different countries, I want to sincerely apologize for misspeaking the name of your country.
This mistake actually created a meaningful opportunity and it allowed me to introduce Slovakia to a group of students who eagerly helped me make this video. The conference was hosted by a local organization called CAPE ASSIST, which brings together Peer Leaders, students with strong leadership qualities who work on positive projects within their schools. The event provides seminars and activities designed to help them become even better leaders in their schools and community.
Many of these students are already connected to me through the Lunch With Lynch Foundation, where we believe in the power of community and in changing the world through simple acts of kindness and paying it forward.
We look forward to continuing to spread kindness alongside the wonderful students in Levice, Slovakia, who have shown such good character and compassion through your random act of kindness in finding the owner of the lost drone. Today’s lesson … kindness is not bound by language, it’s given freely from the heart!
