Evalice is an original Lunch With Lynch Kid
I am reaching out to share the story of Evalice, an original member of the Lunch with Lynch Foundation. I have known Eve since she was in Mrs. Haas’s Pre-K class, where I first read "It's OK to Be Different" in March 2007. I've had the privilege of watching her grow from a shy and quiet child into a beautiful and confident young woman, now expecting her first child.
In her first trimester of pregnancy, Eve experienced a seizure and was rushed to Philadelphia. What ensued next is unimaginable for any mom-to-be. Fate handed Eve the devastating news that she had a cancerous brain tumor. She underwent an emergency six-hour surgery, performed while she was awake, to assist the surgical team with verbal commands as they removed the cancer. She has since followed up with 30 radiation treatments and will not be able to undergo any chemotherapy until the birth of her baby boy in October.
In honor and support of Eve, we are hosting a walk before the Wildwood Crest Summer/Fall Concert Series on September 7, 2024. All funds raised will go towards the numerous expenses of her battle. There are many ways to support – you can walk, become a shirt sponsor, or donate to her fight. We hope you will come out and enjoy an event filled with fun, family, and community support.
